Day 20

After breakfast at the hotel, we headed downtown. Our first stop was the Oklahoma City Memorial. Wow. It was one of the most impressive memorials I'd ever seen, very tranquil & moving. Those poor people. I got choked up.
The next stop was Bricktown, which is a downtown area where the streets are lined in bricks. There are lots of stores and restaurants. Very cool. There was also a stream/canal running throughout, which had "gondoliers" filled with tourists and there were bridges connecting different restaurants. It's probably very fun at night...however, we were there at high noon, in the middle of June. HOT!
After lunch at the Bricktown Brewery, we drove to the National Cowboy Museum, which was awesome. There were lots of pretty Western-themed paintings and a replica of a an old western town. We had fun.
After that that we drove out to Doug's (Rich's old boss) "ranch". We only stayed an hour, as there were too many security risks with Barrett. We also had an Audrey tantrum....so it ended up being a bummer.
We returned to the Hefner Grill for Father's Day dinner. A long, fun-filled day, to be sure!
